Dr. Dietra Trent, The Biden Administration

Dr. Dietra Trent serves as executive director of The White House Initiative on HBCUs. Trent served as senior director of equity research and training in the Center for Public Policy at Wilder School, where she led efforts to engage in diversity- and equity-related research and training activities across the commonwealth. She served as Virginia’s Secretary of Education. She also held several leadership positions at George Mason University, including chief of staff and interim vice president for compliance, diversity, and ethics.
