Dr. JoAnn W. Haysbert, Hampton University

Dr. JoAnn W. Haysbert has held several influential positions over several decades at Hampton University — with time away serving other institutions. Now chancellor and provost at Hampton, she is a successful grant writer and astute fundraiser, who has secured both public and private funds for the prestigious HBCU. She has served on professional boards, including the National Campus Compact and the Board of Trustees and Nominating Committee of the College Board. Haysbert is a member of the Hampton City Schools Advisory Board and the Board of Trustees of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
