With expertise in the modern history of U.S. higher education (20th century to present), Dr. Lauren Lassabe Shepherd is well-versed on the topic of conservatism in the academy. She is an instructor in education and human development at the University of New Orleans and an IUPUI-Society for U.S. Intellectual History Community Scholar. Shepherd also conducted archival research on anticommunist student activism during the Cold War at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, California. She authored Resistance from the Right: Conservatives and the Campus Wars. Her second book manuscript is an historical survey of colleges and universities in the U.S. since the 1960s.
