Dr. Vanessa Miller is an assistant professor in educational leadership and policy studies at Indiana University Bloomington. As an interdisciplinary scholar, she specializes in education law (in K-12 and higher education). Her work — appearing in various law journals — focuses on race and the law, school and university police, school crime and safety, prison education, and the role of the courts in education law and policy. Miller received the Dr. Macia Clarke-Yapi Dissertation Memorial Award for having the highest quality dissertation relating to educational equity and the inaugural Postdoctoral Associate at the Race and Crime Center for Justice at the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
